Pinot Noir
Ben’s Reserve 2020
Another elegant wine with a refined and balanced taste. Simply a traditional Pinot Noir from Burgundy.
Details:
Variety:
Pinot Noir 100%
A balanced combination of old Burgundy clones with thin skins and new clones with harder skins and more tannins.
Vinohrad:
Terrace area, Blue Mountains – Bořetice, 250 m above sea level, planted in 2008-2009. The soil consists of sandy clay overlying mostly limestone.
Production:
The grapes were fermented in open vats for approximately 21 days and then gently pressed. The wine was aged 18 months in François Frères French oak barrels and then in bottle. It is unfiltered and unfined.
TASTING NOTES:
The wine is elegant, delicate and beautifully fruity. The colour is light brick, typical Pinot Noir. The aroma is dominated by cherry compote or stone fruit. The taste is refined, full of elegance and balance, simply traditional Pinot Noir from Burgundy. The finish is full, fruity with ripe tannins and a long aftertaste.
The wine needs time to open up and show its quality. It is worth tasting the following days after opening as well.
This is a great wine with really great potential and promise for the future. Sure to excite any Pinot Noir lover!

Veal, lamb shank, roast duck or mushroom dishes
